Ampian Publishing was established in 2009 to serve as a publisher for a variety of magazines. As a team member of Ampian, I helped design and shape the branding and identity elements for the company, along with a simple web presence.
The official version of the logo features the Ampian wordmark encompassed in a light-green circle, with an alternate option of the “amp” wordmark encased in a light-green circle with the Ampian workmark featured to the right. We chose to go with the “Amp” wordmark over using the company’s initials to avoid confusion with a leading news organization.
The website and business cards were both designed using the same elements to help bring together a simple brand for the company, and incorporating brown to help the green pop. The business cards were printed on 14pt corrugated cover paper with 1/4″ rounded edges on the top left and bottom right sides of the card to give it a unique, memorable feel.
We designed the website around the WordPress management system, allowing staff to easily make periodic updates to the blog and portfolio sections with minimal formatting effort.
